Five Quick Approaches To Speed Up Your Metabolism

without comments

When it comes to losing weight and keeping the weight off easily, your metabolism is really a crucial player. What is “metabolism” anyway? In really simple terms, it’s the process of transforming calories into energy. A slow metabolism indicates you burn off less calories, and more fat will get stored.

The good news is there several really easy techniques to improve your metabolic rate (which are great lifestyle changes to lose weight):

1) Try to eat more often

One of the reasons why your metabolic rate slows down is you may not be eating frequently enough. Are you currently one of those folks that can go almost all of the day without eating and after that gorge on a large meal at dinner time? Awful idea! Your system thinks you might be starving so decreases its burning of energy so you wind up storing extra fat. When you start consuming small servings of nutrient-dense foods every 3 or 4 hours, your system kicks up the fat-burning mechanism.

2) Drink a lot of water

Remember that to be able to burn off fat, your organs must be functioning effectively, and they require hydration to accomplish that. Consume at least the minimum suggestion of sixty-four oz daily — more if you’re over weight or if you take part in intense workouts.

If you do not enjoy plain drinking water, test drinking it at various temperatures, add lemon slices, or “sneak” it into some other beverages such as diluting a 1/4 cup of veggie juice with 8 oz of drinking water.

This is one of the easiest tips if you don’t understand how to get the willpower to lose weight

3) Weight training exercise

Even if you currently do cardio workouts, you may want to include some weight training routines a couple of times a week, since the more lean muscle you possess, the quicker your metabolism will likely be. That’s because just having extra muscle on your body requires more energy to maintain, so you burn more calories.

Consult your physician to make sure weight training exercise is safe for you personally – then make sure you learn correct form in order to avoid injury. The fantastic thing about weight training is you have no need for any kind of fancy equipment to start – you can use the resistance of your own entire body simply by doing ab crunches, leg lifts, push-ups – or even get yourself a small set of dumbbells for additional resistance.

4) Steer clear of sugars

When you consume substantial amounts of sugars, your body automatically shifts into fat storage mode. Your blood sugar levels increase and dip erratically and if it goes on for long sufficient, “insulin resistance” can result – meaning your system has a tougher time processing glucose and more of it can get stored as fat. Cutting your intake of processed sugars isn’t difficult as you might think; just replace those sugary snacks with moderate portions of fruit and veggies, lean protein, and seeds and nuts. Over time, your urges for sugar will diminish considerably – it really is only when you keep consuming sugar that you keep needing it!

5) Green tea

Green tea is yet another easy dietary addition if you do not understand how to have the willpower to lose weight.

Green tea is definitely considered to be a metabolism and fat burning enhancer. It does contain caffeine – but less than a third of the caffeine inside coffee. Better yet, green tea is full of antioxidants that contribute to the prevention of cell damage, which helps prevent serious diseases.

Keep in mind that boosting your metabolism is not a one-time event, but if you do things like the above mentioned on a regular basis, you can teach your body to work a lot more effectively than it may be doing currently.

How Can I Keep Off The Weight I Lose Forever

with 2 comments

If you are planning to keep the weight off that you lose then fad diets are not the answer.

Fad diets are only temporary.  If you want to lose weight forever and permanently then use a well balanced plan and learn how to lose weight fast and easy

The one thing all fad diets have in common is, they are “diets”.

Bell-bottom pants are much like fad diets. For a few years these diets are popular and then they are out of style. After a period of time they return again and why is that, the weight gurus decide that a new group of people have not heard of this diet fad so let’s try it on them. If you really want to burn body fat and lose weight steer clear of the fad diets.

In the first days of a fad diet several of you will lose a little weight. You most probably will lose some muscle at first when you are on one of these diets. If you lose muscle your metabolic rate will also be reduced and you will burn a reduced amount of extra fat and therefore lose less weight.

But the bigger problem with these diets is that most us who follow these outlandish diets gain the extra fat back, and then some! Did this ever happen to you?

If you want to learn how to lose weight fast and easy and you don’t want to gain the weight back then it is important to make small changes in your behavioral eating habits.

How can I keep the weight off in the long term, this is the fundamental question.

One reason is a fad diet often endorse focuses too much on one type of food, like non-carbohydrate foods (meat and dairy only) or only carbohydrate foods (fruits and vegetables only). If you want unhealthy eating habits, this sort of diet will take you there.

Whenever you restrict yourself in the variety of foods that you eat to one kind then you are going to be depriving yourself of many essential vitamins and minerals. Your body requires certain vitamins and minerals and if you don’t get these vitamins and minerals it will lead to ill health and more health problems.

Variety is not simply the spice of life, but a variety of nourishing foods and food groups is also necessary for good health.

Fad diets are too restrictive to be realistically followed, particularly for a lengthy period of time.  They are not only unhealthy but these diets are also very difficult to stay on because they take away many of our favorite foods. If you desire to lose weight over a lengthy period of time, then do not go on a inflexible restrictive diet.

If you want life long weight loss and weight stabilization the answer is behaviroral changes in your eating habits.

The very idea of this kind of fad diet just will not work. Why? Fad diets are rooted in short term thinking. Fad diets are not meant to be long term. This is not permanent…why must I struggle to lose 15 pounds when I will gain it back and additional weight when my diet is over.

Even though this is a simple idea, some people just don’t understand. Many people look to diets as the answer for their weight and health problems. But they’re not the answer, and they actually lead to more problems for you. Over an prolonged period of time habitual dieters will not lose weight, but will have an increase in weight.

When I think about it, probably the best base of nutritional knowledge I received was from my mom. For the most part, my mom was right. My mom didn’t have any knowledge about fat burning, but she fed me really nutritious foods while I was a growing boy.

My Mom wanted the best for me and she knew if I was healthy I would be happier.  I’ll bet that your Mom felt the exact same way about you.

I ate my share of healthy vegetables, including green ones, my mom made sure of that. On special occasions she would let me have sweets and some other fun foods, but she limited how much and how often I could have them. She tried to provide a balance of the different food groups throughout the day.

Thanks, Mom! Mom’s diet was really quite sound. I’ve found that heeding some of this advice in the pursuit of maximum body fat burning and a lean healthy body for the rest of your life is a smart way to go.

You see your body naturally craves foods rich in nutrients, (antioxidants, phyto nutrients (plant), fiber, vitamins, minerals, etc.)  When you eat most of your meals from foods rich in important nutrients, your body will be satisfied and overeating will no longer be much of a concern.

When you give your body what it requires and needs to be healthy then you will naturally go into the fat burning stage. Because you are giving your body what it needs to be healthy you will be promoting natural alkalinity in your body and this will reduce your risk of disease.

When you find that you are eating and eating and never seem satisfied then recognize that this is your body telling you that you are not getting the nutrients that your body needs. Foods lacking in nutrients like, fast foods, fatty foods, sugary foods, etc. This means you will be taking in too many calories.

Eating too many calories means you will continue to gain weight, get fatter and be more prone to developing diseases related to being overweight. Your body will have an acidic environment, which is an further risk of disease when you gain weight and fat. When this happens, you can just kiss fat burning goodbye.

Nutrition to control your weight, fitness, and health all work together for your benefit. My Fat Burning Furnace students have changed their lives permanently, by simply altering what they put in their bodies…and you can do it to.

Focus on foods rich in nutrients. Next, I will define a plan that will aid you in transitioning from where you are now to where you want to be. One where your body seemingly burns fat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

One of the major keys to healthy eating is to eat a variety of foods from all of the food groups regularly and consistently.

How Fat Metabolism Works

without comments

The concept of fat metabolism is used by many people perhaps without knowing exactly what the term refers to. Medically speaking, it makes reference to the biochemical process based on which fatty acids and substances get integrated and are used by the cells of the body. Fatty acids get into our body in the form of tryglicerides which are later transformed into glycerol.

The body has the role of obtaining fats from fatty acids as well as glycerol from the excessive amount of glucose. Fat metabolism prevents our body cells from burning the fat that was obtained through the process afore-mentioned. In case one’s metabolism is fat, it is recommended that they try to control it by taking hormones such as insulin, growth hormones and glucocorticoids.

Fat metabolism is specific to women during pregnancy and the breast feeding period. Prolactin is a hormone present in a female body that leads to milk production. It is the one that should be blamed for the fact that most pregnant women or mothers have noticed a change in their metabolism. Once a woman gets pregnant, the level of prolactin helps fat metabolism install, which is completely false in the case of those who are not pregnant but still have a higher level of prolactin.

Apparently research has not been conducted to a satisfying degree for scientists to be able to say exactly how prolactin impacts on obesity. And since not much is known about how exactly the two relate, it is difficult to come up with a solution. What is known though is that prolactin results in fat metabolism by preventing the body find equilibrium in terms of what it can metabolize. Once the prolactin hormone sends off signals to fatty tissue, another hormone is produced called adiponectin which has a key role in metabolizing nutrients.

In order to set balance into your body again and increase your fat metabolism one should start focusing more on what they eat. It is important to resort to vegetables and fruit mostly because these can help you reduce fat; actually scientists call vegetables and fruit negative calorie food because eating those will help you burn out fat.

So, yes; fat metabolism is something many of us want to increase. What we should always have in view is what we eat and what eating habits we have in terms of meals per day and the amount of food per meal. Fat or junk food should be less and less encouraged and more fresh green products and fruit should be complementary to sports and constant physical activity.
